bio

Yawen Tan is a Chinese writer and artist based in Paris.

 

A 2020 Stanford graduate, her creative practice draws on her personal experiences of bipolar disorder and gendered violence. She is currently writing her debut feature film and a literary memoir.

 

In 2020, Yawen was featured by Stanford News as an outstanding graduate. In 2023, she received the Asia-Pacific Leaders Initiative Outstanding Delegate Award for her contributions to the arts and humanities.
