Fear of God performs the oceanic feeling – the feeling of something limitless, unbounded – that I once had. It happened when the boundary lines between my ego and the external world are blurred. The work expresses a state where being with the external world as a whole is an overwhelming sensation of fear. When one’s perceptions, thoughts, and feelings appear alien to oneself, the only choice left is to escape.
